COVID-19 Updates

Normandie Christian Preschool

Our preschool age students (ages 3 to 5) are meeting in person at Normandie Christian School. We are adhering to all COVID-19 safety measures including:

1. conducting daily temperature checks

2. sanitizing daily

3. wearing face masks at all times

4. adhering to appropriate spacing (6 feet)

5. limited classroom access

Normandie Christian Elementary School

During the COVID-19 Pandemic Normandie Christian Elementary School has transitioned from meeting in the classroom to meeting online.

NCS teachers are currently using Google Meet and Google Classroom to deliver instruction. Some teachers are incorporating digital resources such as Khan Academy and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) e-textbooks as part of their curriculum. NCS recently replaced outdated hardcopy curriculum with the newest digital curriculum for math, reading, science, and social studies from HMH.

NCS utilizes California common core standards for all grades. Please view California State Common Core Standards for each grade by visiting the Preschool Program page and the Elementary Program page.

A message for our parents:

Dear Parents/Guardians,

In order to continue the learning during this time out of the physical classroom, teachers at NCS will use Google Classroom, Khan Academy, BrainPOP, and YouVersion to offer online instruction. Please use this handout as a guide for accessing these educational resources. Please check your child’s email account to read and accept the invites for these resources. If you have any questions or concerns regarding how to use these resources send an email to support@normandiechristian.org. If you have questions or concerns about specific assignments, please contact your child’s teacher.
